Status Report | Part I
What’s the actual status of the projects, one may ask.
That’s a good question, and hopefully this will be a good answer;
I’ll begin by mentioning that NetSherpa is the name behind the developing team of various “Sherpas” if you will, web-based applications geared toward the quick retrieval of relevant information,where relevance is determined by the software itself.
DeviceSherpa
As of right now, 10:32 AM, a sunny Friday morning in the city of Philadelphia, DeviceSherpa’s engine is about 85% complete. The actual database and primary functions are all in working condition and pretty much solidified. Right now, GUI design is the primary goal. The system needs to be tweaked to the quickest possible method of information retrieval, no matter the search type, because speed is a priority for me as a user of similar interfaces. I’ve finished about a week ago the second prototype for the system, and so far it seems to do as it’s required without any problems. The SmarTip engine, as it’s called, will now have a supercharger dropped in it and we here at NetSherpa are going to see how far it can go and how powerful we can make it before release.
The AutoSherpa Project
AutoSherpa is still in the early phases of development. Right now we’re primarily data gathering, so that we can create a structurally rigid and functionally optimized environment for the user base we expect to see using such a system. I’m not going to stick an arbitrary ‘% complete’ in here for AutoSherpa, as it would have no real basis.
Instead I will say thanks for the interest, and stay tuned for the next update!
